Mail Server Update
Most accounts that were active are now setup on
the new mail server. Domain names are being added as quickly
as possible.
NOTE:
No e-mail is getting lost. We have had e-mail for all
domains queued on our backup server. No e-mail should be getting
bounced or lost. Once your domain/account is configured, we
trigger the backup to stream the queued mail into your mailboxes.
If you have trouble getting your e-mail, we
recommend checking the following settings:
incoming server: pop3.netvista.net
outgoing server: smtp.netvista.net
user/login/acct name:
youracctname@netvista.net
Make sure that SMTP authentication is turned on
in the advanced/more settings section for trouble-free sending.
If you were setup with our previous recommended
settings, the only change you will need to make is
to add "@netvista.net" to the username/account name setting in
your e-mail program. We will post a help page for this as soon as
possible. For Outlook users, it is under Tools/Accounts/View or
Change existing account/Next. For Outlook Express users, it
is under Tools/Accounts...choose your account and press the
properties button, then go to the server tab to add
"@netvista.net" to the login/account name.
Though the main netvista.net domain is up and
running, many domains are still being added. We are working as
quickly as possible. We will have a system setup soon to report
issues. More detailed instructions will follow.
Sincerely,
Net Vista Staff
